International Exchange program
[A] Introduction
International student exchange commenced at Hokkaido University of Education (HUE) in 1988. Over time the opportunities for foreign students have increased as our five regional campuses (Sapporo, Asahikawa, Kushiro, Hakodate, and Iwamizawa) have developed international programs and courses. We are proud to conduct research and student exchange with 34 partner universities in 14 different countries and regions.
?
We aim to provide high quality exchange student courses that allow undergraduates to progress academically while continuing their personal growth. Each of our five campuses has unique local features which are incorporated into the curriculums at each location. We also offer a six-month intensive Japanese language program for students?who do not meet the language proficiency standard to undertake other programs.
It is our sincere wish that through these courses, we can contribute to student education and research activities for both our university and partner institutions participating in these exchange agreements.
