Scholarship System

For students wishing to study abroad [Scholarship system]

There are various scholarship systems available for students who wish to study abroad as shown below. For details, please contact student exchange staff at each campus.

Scholarship for Overseas Study Offered by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has established a financial support system to assist undergraduate and graduate students who wish to study at universities overseas under university-to-university exchange agreements or other student exchange arrangements for a period of one year or less in order to promote student exchange with universities in other countries and to strengthen the ties of friendship and mutual understanding between each country. JASSO is currently implementing the scholarship program. This scholarship is available for exchange students studying at the exchange partner institutions, and is available for selected students. In addition, the amount of scholarship is 60,000 - 100,000 yen per month, depending on the destination location.
Students who wish to apply for this scholarship must clearly state the intention of application for this scholarship in the application form when applying for exchange student program.

Academic Year 2017 Hokkaido University of Education Study Abroad Scholarship

In order to develop human resources who can succeed in the global society, Hokkaido University of Education makes study abroad scholarships available as economic aid to students who wish to study abroad. Currently, we are accepting applications from students who wish to study abroad in academic year 2017.
Please refer to the attached Application Form for Study Abroad Scholarship for Academic Year 2017 for details and eligibility.
(Note) The implementation of this scholarship in academic year 2018 and future years is not yet determined.

Other Foreign Government-Funded/Private Sector-Funded Scholarships, etc.
